Cub Scout Summer Camp 2009

It is
time to plan for summer camp.
There are three basic types of summer camps – Fun with Son
(overnight with parent), Twilight Camp (week long evening camp) and
Adventure Camp (4 days/3 night resident camp).
If you decide to go to Fun with Son or Adventure Camp, please
contact Chris Reinhold at
creinhold@cinci.rr.com or 677-5715.
For Twilight Camp, please register at the Dan Beard web site.
Twilight Camp – June 15–19 at Lake Isabella
(http://www.danbeard.org/DayCamp.aspx)
The
Twilight Camp at Lake Isabella is a day camp that is held in the evening
hours from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. This year's theme is Pirates. The programs
include everyone's favorite Cub Scouting activities, plenty of outdoor
adventures, and lots of games, crafts, and challenges. The activities
are scheduled so each camper has the opportunity to participate in each
activity. The all-volunteer camp staff plans and facilitates all of the
programs, adding a certain amount of silliness and excitement to each
activity.
Fee:
$85 for the first scout and $65 for the second scout if you register by
May 11th
Fun
with Son
– June 26–27 at Cub World
(http://www.danbeard.org/CW_FunSon.aspx)
Fun
with Son is geared towards fun and activity. We will arrive at 5pm on
Friday and depart the next day at 3pm. Activities will include archery
and BB gun safety and marksmanship, swimming in a fifty-meter pool,
nature, hiking, sports, and lots of games. And no camp is complete
without lots of boisterous singing and skits around the evening
campfire! This is a campout that the whole family can participate in.
Fee:
$60 for scout and parent, $20 for additional family members
Adventure Camp
– July 27-30 at Cub World
(http://www.danbeard.org/CW_AdventureCamp.aspx)
Adventure Camp is a four day/three night program for Wolf Cub Scouts and
above. Scouts will participate in a number of activities which will
include archery, BB guns, swimming and many other activities. As with
Fun with Son, nightly campfires will feature games, singing and great
skits.
Fee: $110 per scout
